Tell your rep to vote no on The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009

Tell your rep to vote no on The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. Below is a copy of my letter to Congressman Polis of Colorado:

Dear Congressman Polis,

I am asking you to vote no on The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. There are virtually no provisions to keep this from driving up the cost of living significantly for every family (even the poorest) in America. It will hamstring small to large businesses and with other Democratic legislation on the table could even cripple business in America.

Geithner admits “Fannie and Freddie were a core part of what went wrong in our system.”

After listening to prevaricating and fact-dodging Democratic Representative from Massachusetts Barney Frank blaming everyone but extra-terrestrials for the failure of Fannie and Freddie and that their collective failure played no part whatsoever in catalyzing the financial sector failure at the heart of the current recession, it was a welcome departure from the typical Democratic side-stepping to hear Geithner admit that “Fannie and Freddie were a core part of what went wrong in our system.” in hearings on the hill where he was hoping to garner support for sweeping financial regulations.
